Lings Motor Group employees spent their Saturday rowing through the waters of Oulton Broad in a bid to be named East Anglian Dragon Boat Festival Champions, whilst raising £500 for Norfolk & Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

The East Anglian Dragon Boat Festival is one of the largest charity dragon boat events in the country and largest corporate team events in East Anglia. Each year it attracts upto 5,000 spectators and has to date raised more than £100,000 for charity.

Dragon boat racing is an ancient Chinese tradition and the fastest growing water activity in Britain today – as well as the most fun! Up to 10 people paddle each 30’ boat with a drummer at the front beating time and a helm at the tail steering a straight course.

The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust carries out nearly one million outpatient appointments, day case procedures and inpatient admissions annually.
